Ohio SPJ Contest Awards Celebration  in Columbus Saturday, Aug. 27, 2022

Please make your reservations now for the Ohio SPJ event of the year – the Ohio SPJ Contest Awards Celebration at the Boat House, located at the confluence of the Olentangy and Scioto Rivers, overlooking Downtown Columbus.  The Central Ohio Pro Chapter is hosting the annual event, in association with pro chapters in Cincinnati and Cleveland, to honor the Buckeye State’s best journalism. Doors open at 11 a.m. Your admission includes a buffet lunch; there will be a cash bar. After lunch, we will present this year’s awards. Congrats to all of our winners. Ohio’s Best Journalism is the only Ohio competition that honors journalists who fulfill the SPJ mission: defense of the First Amendment, support of literacy, resistance to censorship, advocacy for openness of public records and meetings, media self-criticism and community service.  Journalists from the Long Island Press Club served as judges of the 2022 contest.
