This virtual presentation features VOA Director Yolanda Lopez and VOA East Europe Chief Myroslava Gongadze. These distinguished journalists report accurate news and stories from countries lacking a free press. Lopez describes the challenge of managing an international news organization in multiple war zones, and Gongadze shares highlights from her recent trip to Ukraine. An award-winning correspondent, she was awarded the Order of Princess Olga, 3rd class, a Ukrainian civil decoration bestowed on women of outstanding personal merit.
