The Cincinnati Police Department's Public Information Office and the Greater Cincinnati Society of Professional Journalists will be hosting a media engagement event. The 90-minute sessions will give members of the media a chance to learn more about the Cincinnati Police Department, our Public Information Office, and SPJ.
For journalists both new and old to the market, this will be your time to learn (or a refresher course) the role of each member of CPD's Public Information Office, how to request CPD incident reports, how to find crime statistics, learn how CPD handles critical incidents from a media standpoint, and much more. This will also be your chance to ask any Public Information or Cincinnati Police related questions you may have.
WHEN: Thursday February 9, 2023
Two sessions will be offered to accommodate schedules:
Session 1: 9:30am-11am
Session2: 2pm-3:30pm
WHERE: Virtual via Microsoft Teams
