SPJ announces finalists for 2025 Pro Chapter of the Year

The Society of Professional Journalists is proud to recognize a select group of chapters that are being honored for their work in supporting the Society’s missions, members and the journalism profession.
Large Chapter of the Year is open to chapters with 75 members or more, while Small Chapter of the Year is open to chapters with fewer than 75 members.
“SPJ’s Outstanding Professional Chapter Awards salute chapters for their overall excellence in supporting the Society’s missions, members and the profession. Once again, we have seen some amazing accomplishments from each of our chapters, and we are proud to recognize a few of them for this year’s achievements,” said Ginny McCabe, SPJ Region 4 Coordinator and Regional Coordinators caucus chair. “Congratulations to all of our finalists and thank you for all you do to further journalism in cities across the country.”

Winners of Large Chapter of the Year and Small Chapter of the Year will be announced during the Opening Member Meeting at the MediaFest25 journalism convention Oct. 15-18 in Washington, D.C.
