A Note from Chapter
President Tom McKee: 
I just bought
my tickets for the SPJ Ohio event of the year – the Ohio SPJ Awards, which will
kick off at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24. We look forward to seeing everyone
there.
This
year, the Greater Cincinnati Pro Chapter is hosting the annual program, which
honors the best journalism in the state.
The venue
for the program will be a lot of fun – aboard the Belle of Cincinnati, a
riverboat excursion – docked just across the Ohio River in Newport, Kentucky.
We’ll go
on a two-hour cruise on the Ohio River and enjoy a buffet lunch before the
awards presentation. The cost is $50 per person, which includes lunch and the
cruise. A cash bar will be available.

The Ohio
SPJ Awards are jointly managed by the Central Ohio, Cincinnati and Cleveland
professional chapters of the Society of Professional Journalists. The statewide
