MEDIA PUBLIC RECORDS REQUESTS SEMINARS
TUESDAY, OCTOBER 3, 2017
The Cincinnati Police Department continues to update its policies and procedures on how members of the media and the general public can submit public records requests and receive information in a timely manner.
Accessing the City of Cincinnati’s Open Data Portal and the on-lines records request system have been substantially improved since their debut just over a year ago.
To make sure everyone using the transparency tools has an easy time navigating the system, the Cincinnati Police Department is once again partnering with the Greater Cincinnati Professional Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists a pair of free seminars.
Here is the date and times:
WHEN: Tuesday, October 3, 2017
TIME: Session #1 – 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. – Session #2 – 2:00 – 3:00 P.M.
WHERE: Cincinnati Police Academy – 800 Evans Street – Lower Price Hill
WHO SHOULD ATTEND: news directors, assistant news directors, assignment managers, producers, reporters, editors and photographers from radio, tv, print and digital media
The sessions are also a chance for representatives of the media to become more acquainted with Cincinnati Police Public Information personnel.
