The Truth Matters. Facts Matter panel discussion was held at on Thursday, March 23 at the Voice of America Museum in West Chester. The 90-minute Truth Matters, Facts Matter program was a part of VOA’s 75 anniversary celebration.

A well respected group of experts discussed the differences between real and fake news, how to determine facts, and the importance of a free press in democracy.

The panel also answered thoughtful questions from a standing-room-only crowd of attendees, including students from Lakota East High School.

Panelists included print, online and broadcast journalists from Greater Cincinnati media outlets:
Hagit Limor,  Investigative Reporter and UC Electronic Media Professor, Howard Wilkinson of WVXU, Kevin Aldridge of the Cincinnati Enquirer and Anthony Shoemaker, the politics reporter of Cox Media Ohio and the Dayton Daily News. Tom McKee of WCPO and Cincinnati SPJ President served as the moderator of the event.
