Journalist and author Ann Hagedorn is a pro at narrative nonfiction, having written for newspapers and carving out a “second career” as the author of five books: The Invisible Soldiers, Wild Ride, Ransom, Beyond the River, and Savage Peace. She has been a staff writer for The Wall Street Journal, New York Daily News and San Jose Mercury News. She has taught writing at Northwestern University‘s Medill Northwestern University‘s Medill School of Journalism, Columbia University‘s Graduate School of Journalism, Xavier University, and Miami University. She holds an M.S. in journalism from Columbia University.
