2019 Sigma Delta Chi Award Winners

The Society of Professional Journalists is proud to announce the recipients of the 2019 Sigma Delta Chi Awards for excellence in journalism. Judges chose the winners from entries in categories covering print, radio, television and online. The awards recognize outstanding work published or broadcast in 2019. Click here to see a list of winners and view their work.

The Sigma Delta Chi Awards date back to 1932, when the Society first honored six individuals for contributions to journalism. The current program began in 1939, when the organization awarded the first Distinguished Service Awards. These awards later became the Sigma Delta Chi Awards.

The awards recognize the best in professional journalism in categories covering print, radio, television, newsletters, art/graphics and online.
